The perfect spot to explore the green mountains - biking, hiking, golfing, tennis, horseback riding all within minutes. Bethel is a small town within a half hour's drive from lovely Woodstock, Killington/Pico, Hanover, Quechee. The White River runs through Bethel for swimming, boating, tubing, fishing. Silver Lake State Park is 10 minutes away for swimming, canoe/kayak rentals. Or just walk down to the creek for a dip. Visit the Raptor Center at the Vermont Nature Center in Quechee, take a hot air balloon ride, hike Mount Tom or ride the Vermont trains. In the wintertime downhill skiing at Killington/Pico, or even closer is the Suicide Six family ski area, Nordic ski area at Three Stallion Inn, ice skating at Silver Lake. |
