Lake Marion is a beautiful resort that makes it easy to understand why everyone flocks to Florida! When you tell your friends and family that you are vacationing in “Orlando”, most people immediately think of the theme parks, which are wonderful! However, when you leave the noise hustle and bustle of that tourist area, just 35 minutes from the gates of Walt Disney World, still lies Florida in all it’s serene splendor!
Lake Marion is a unique resort that is located beside a 3800-acre fresh water lake, loaded with prizewinning bass. Make your friends at home envious when you tell them about the one that you caught while fishing in the unbelievable waterhole! After a day’s fishing, also be sure to enjoy the lakeside park itself with its picnic shelter with charcoal grills, a beach volleyball court, and everyone’s favorite, the old fashioned tree swing! Whether you walk, drive, or ride a bike to the lake from your villa, the trail itself is a natural wonder with spectacular flare and fauna. Lake Marion is a boat friendly resort with a private ramp into the lake, boat trailer storage facilities, and marina docks.
After enjoying a magnificent Florida sunset over Lake Marion from the lakefront gazebo, make your way back to your beautiful villa. There you will be able to enjoy all the comforts of home. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, air conditioned beauty boasts 876 sq. Ft. Of living space. All rooms but the kitchen are fully carpeted (and it’s steam cleaned once a month whether is needs it or not! ) and baths have amazing Italian ceramic tile flooring.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, a large closet, a large dresser with mirror, TV with remote, alarm clock, 2 table lamps, an over head light, and 2 end tables, both with 2 drawers. The master bath is entered off of the master bedroom only and has a full tub with shower, vanity, and medicine cabinet. Both bathrooms in the villa come with a “starter supply” of hand or shower soap and toilet tissue.
All bed and bath linens are provided also.
The second bedroom is a large room with two twin beds. There is enough room in there if you need to bring a pac n’ play portable crib. This room also has a dresser with 4 drawers, a HUGE closet with mirror doors, (spare hangers, too) an overhead light and a table lamp.
The second bathroom also has a full tub with a shower, a vanity, and a medicine cabinet. This bathroom and bedroom also has it’s own linens, and “the starter supply”.
The sofa in the living room pulls out to a full size bed, (again, linens are provided) and will be able to sleep 2 additional people. In addition to the sofa in the living room, there is a love seat, TV with remote ,VCR and DVD.
Adjacent to the living room, is the dining area. There is a glass top table with wrought iron chairs that seats 4. If you are traveling with more than 4, there is a breakfast bar that seats 2 right next to the table. This is always a favorite place to sit for the kids.
The kitchen is also fully equipped. The appliances that are provided are a refrigerator with ice maker, electric oven and stove top, microwave, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, can opener, and a toaster. The gadgets the you might need include, measuring cups, corkscrew, pizza cutter, a cutting board and a melon ball-er! When your ready to cook or bake, there is an assortment of pots and pans, and when it’s done, there are plenty of plates and silver. Just like home! In the kitchen, like the bathrooms, there will be a “starter kit” of dishwasher soap, tea bags, sugar, and powered creamer.
In the hallway between the bedrooms and the bathrooms is the laundry closet. In there is the washer and dryer. Let me tell you, the best thing in the world is not going home with dirty laundry! Besides the washer and dryer, there is an iron, an ironing board, laundry basket, a broom and dustpan, and a bucket. Again, there will be the “starter kit” of laundry detergent.
Since this Villa is our home away from home, and we try to keep it as nice and clean for every guest (and us too! ), we do ask that there is no smoking and no pets. Thank you for helping us with this.
Once your done exploring your villa, make sure that you see what The Club House has to offer. Because of the size of Lake Marion Resort, a few guests feel the need to take their car to The Club House. Your villa is located diagonally across the street. This is great if you forget something when you’re lying by the pool and need to go back! Inside The Club House there is a small general store. It’s hours vary by the season, so it’s best to only count on this in an emergency. There is a regulation pool table, big screen TV, sitting area, table and chairs, and a work out room if you are so inclined. During the holidays, there are special events planed such as an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, or fireworks on July 4Th. This are just exam |
