Not a cabin, but a lovely, newer (2004), nicely furnished two bedroom two bath home with a den that doubles as a third bedroom. The home comfortably sleeps eight. The home is located in the Bayshore community located on the spit between beautiful Alsea Bay and the Pacific. It is less than a one-block walk to the beach access leading to miles of flat sandy beach.
The home is fully equipped with everything you need, with the exception of your food, paper products and firewood (12 inch). It is truly a relaxing comfortable home located in a laid back small town on the Oregon Coast. Waldport has everything you might need, but if you want a larger selection, Newport is a short fifteen miles to the North. All in All, if you want to relieve your stress, this is the place to do it.
This area of the Oregon Coast has numerous activities to entertain you. Within 40 miles each way on U. S. Hwy 101, there are three lighthouses, Sea Lion Caves, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, two “Old Towns” on the waterfronts, Depoe Bay and it’s “World’s Smallest Harbor”, and numerous golf courses for those so inclined. Crestview Hills is a nine-hole course in Waldport. In Florence are Sandpines and Ocean Dunes. In Lincoln City, Salishan and Chinook Winds. If your desire is to stay close to “home” you can use the crab rings (provided) and try you luck from the Port of Alsea crabbing dock. Be sure to get your license. Three-day licenses are available for a nominal fee. Nothing tastes better than fresh cooked Dungeness crab. Clamming can also be good with a minus tide. The same license covers clamming. There is also kayaking, antiquing, kite flying and beaching combing, to name a few. Just remember, it’s your vacation and you can do what you want. Also, don’t forget the storm watching during the winter months |
