This turn of the century Dutch colonial house offers over 1900 sq foot of living space. Beautiful matched wood interior through out this home with large windows as well as a large fireplace in the living room make it bright and warm. For those entertaining or with a large family there is a formal dining room that seats ten comfortably. There is a pantry next to the eat in kitchen that is equipped with everything that you need to cook with including the spices. To relax you can either sit in the sun room or the open air porch both have views of the ocean to the north.
The house will sleep ten comfortably in the four bedrooms as well as the sitting room that are located on the second floor. All rooms have dressers and closets as well as full beds. There is also a queen size futon in a sitting room. Two bedrooms as well as the sitting room have ocean views. There is also a crib that can be set up if needed.
The house has a bath and a half with the full bathroom downstairs and a half bath on the second floor.
There is outdoor furniture as well as a gas grill on the lawn looking out toward the ocean.
The house is rented Saturday to Saturday with a cleaning service cleaning the house between tenants. Towels and linens are provided.
This summer rental with great views of the ocean is located just one hour north of Boston MA and 45 minutes south of Portland ME, Kendall House is located on the north east side of the Nubble, a peninsula that has a beach to either side. Short Sands beach,. 75 mi long with a boardwalk and a playground is a 5 minute walk away, while Long Sands offers a 1. 5 mi long beach after a 15 minute walk. At the tip of the peninsula, a short 15 minute walk away, is the very picturesque Cape Neddick light house. To the south is Kittery ME with its many retail outlets. Across the Piscataqua River, 14 miles from York is Historical Portsmouth NH. Traveling north from York, Ogunquit is only 6 miles away and has a beach as well as many quaint artisan shops. 5 miles further north on RT 1 is Wells with antique alley and its own beach. Whether staying in York or taking day trips, within 20 miles north or south there is great diversity of beaches, restaurants, live theater, museums, entertainment, parks and cultural events.
