Our charming farmhouse is located on a quiet back road between Eggemogin Reach, well known as a sailor's paradise, and Walker Pond. Both are within walking distance and water access.
The house has four large bedrooms with either queen or full size beds, a sitting area and 3 bathrooms with tub/shower.
The spacious living room has an open fireplace and the French doors are leading to a Concord grapevine covering the patio. Dining room, kitchen and laundry room are at the same level.
The most loved room is the glassed-in, wrap around front porch, for a sunny breakfast or a sunny afternoon tea. The fenced in back yard with a frog pond is an ideal playground for children.
It is impossible to name all the activities that make your Maine vacation beautiful. Here are a few:
Swimming in a clear and comfortable warm pond (across the road) or in the refreshing ocean (around the corner). Ride your bike or hike the beautiful nature trails, kayaking, fishing or sailing. Join a local fisherman for island hopping and lobster trap hauling.
Browse the historic homes, galleries and craft shops in Blue Hill, Castine and Deer Isle, and visit the fascinating working harbor of Stonington. Explore the nearby Acadia National Park, maybe by horseback. |
