Welcome to Northern Escape Chalet! Our cozy chalet is located in Lakes of the North, a recreational community located just 9 miles west of I-75, 20 minutes south of Gaylord. While relaxing in our chalet you can enjoy all the numerous amenities that the community and area has to offer -both summer and winter!
They don't call this the "winter wonderland" for nothing. The snow here is nothing but spectacular and our Northern Escape Chalet is positioned to enjoy the season. Snowmobilers will find 20 miles of groomed trails that connect the Southern Blue Bear Trail and the Northern Jordan Valley Trail for endless riding adventures. Settings Restaurant and Lounge, just a mile from your doorstep, will be open on your return for a good hot meal, or venture over to the Main Clubhouse to enjoy a swim in the indoor heated pool to pull out the riding kinks! If motorized sports aren't your thing, the Winter Sports Clubhouse will welcome you. This is the head of miles of groomed cross country ski trails and the top of two great toboggan runs. When the toes get chilly, stop inside by the roaring fire and get some hot chocolate from the concession stand. Northern Escape Chalet will welcome you with open arms to park your cars in our driveway or to pull your sleds into our big garage. The sunny, heated breezeway will give everyone room to stomp off the snow and hang up snow clothes, boots and helmets to dry. Our warm and cozy cottage will give you room to cuddle up while someone starts a pot of coffee or even a gourmet dinner in our fully equipped kitchen. Northern Escape Chalet will easily sleep 10 adults. A private retreat in the lower level features a double firm-side water bed and a raised jetted tub. The main floor bedroom has a king bed and a port-a-crib stored in the closet. Each upstairs bedroom has two twin beds with one also having a double bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room. We keep a baby port-a-crib stashed in a closet along with a child's "bed rail" to protect the little ones! All bed linens and towels are furnished on request. A charcoal BBQ grill is available for your use and the kitchen is fully outfitted with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, range, etc. , as well as all the appropriate pots, pans and tableware. This is our home away from home and we hope you will enjoy Northern Escape Chalet as much as we do! ! |
