Located in a lovely neighborhood, there is also a sandy association beach perfect for small children in addition to your own private, deep water lakefront.
The interior provides spectacular lake views from all rooms with 11 sets of sliders. Bead board walls and planked ceiling add warmth and charm while granite counters and stainless steel appliances provide gourmet cooking space.
Less than a mile scenic walk brings you to Harrison, "The Friendly Village", complete with restaurants, two sandy town beaches, and playground for children.
Wintertime allows for all sports- great skiing at nearby Shawnee Peak (night skiing) or Sunday River. Clear some snow and enjoy beautiful ice skating in your backyard. Follow snowmobile tracks as you cross country ski lakeside or through wooded trails.
Summer is best enjoyed in the lake or lounging in Adirondack chairs on the dock as you listen to the loons and enjoy the peace and quiet of Crystal Lake. Too quiet? Busier and bustling Long Lake is just down the hill where you can rent jet skis, go para sailing or take a cruise on the Songo River Queen.
Nearby attractions include North Conway for hiking, skiing and shopping. LL Bean and Portland are a short drive for a change of pace. Bridgton, complete with art gallery, quaint shops, and movie theater is a 10 minute drive and one of the few drive-in theaters left in Maine is also a mere 15 minutes away.
Our 3 children grew up enjoying the simple times that a Maine family vacation provides. Reading in the lakeside hammock, working on a family jig saw puzzle in front of a roaring fire, water skiing for the first time, hiking through pristine woods to find a waterfall, or making a snow fort in winter provide long lasting memories far from hectic lifestyles. You will not be disappointed! Our home is not to be missed. |
