Short answer: You probably need to enable cookies. Huh?!? Don't worry, we have step-by-step instructions. Longer answer: When you access the Internet, your computer is assigned a unique identification number known as an IP (Internet Protocol) by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Like many sites, we use this unique number when you are logged into your Owner's Area. Some larger ISPs (such as AOL) have so many users that they are unable to assign a unique IP to each user, so instead they use special servers which communicate with the web server and transmit the information back to you. In these cases the intermediate servers will commonly use a different IP Address for each page that they get for you so to our server it seems like the request is coming from someone else. But don't worry about all this geek-speak. In order to avoid getting lost in the IP Address shuffle, when you access your Owner's Area our system issues a cookie (a small file) containing your original IP Address, which is stored on your computer (don't worry - it's completely safe and only our site can retrieve this information). With this information, our system can then track who you are and you will be able to move through the Owner's Area without any problems. If you are being prompted to log in again after successfully logging into your Owner's Area, it usually means that you do not have cookies enabled in your browser. We have step-by-step instructions for doing this. After enabling cookies you should no longer experience problems logging in. | |||
