Great Lewis Bay beach getaway - fantastic location and a great value for your money!

Recently renovated Cape style home in a secluded location near Nantucket Sound beach yet very close to everything that makes for a perfect vacation! Enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer without worrying about driving and parking. This is a 3-bedroom, 1 bathroom (1 queen, 2 twin, 1 full beds) house, located on a quiet dead-end street. We will provide you with bed and bath linen (Egyptian cotton sheets and thick fluffy towels), as well as beach towels and chairs. No need to pack those space hoggers when you stay at our place!

The bedrooms all contain comfortable beds and are air conditioned (there are also ceiling fans). The 2nd floor contains a bedroom with a queen size bed and a memory foam mattress pad and a bedroom with two twin beds that convert into a comfortable king bed with special “twin-doubler” and a king size memory foam pad. The bath is also on the 2nd floor.

The king bed conversion is a popular feature when more than one couple stays at Lewis Bay Retreat. Our past guests commented on the beds and linens: “We loved the house! ! ! It was really perfect. I wanted to let you know that the two twin beds as a king worked great and the memory foam made it VERY comfortable! ! ! The sheets were also AMAZING! ! ! ”

The 1st floor features a spacious living room, a dedicated dining room and a 3rd bedroom with double sized futon bed. We also provide a feather-bed for the futon bed to make it extra comfortable. Smaller parties may choose to use this room as a 2nd sitting room as it has another cable TV and a DVD player.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking necessities (including a lobster pot), and there is a separate utility room in the basement with washer/dryer. There are A/C units in the bedrooms as well as ceiling fans. Local phone service and Wireless DSL are available free of charge.

Relaxation comes in many forms on Cape Cod and sometimes you just want to stay at home, enjoying the breeze from the sea and the sweetness of doing nothing. There is cable TV, VCR, DVD player, books and games, for an occasional rainy day or a quiet evening in.

The best we left for last - our home's location! This 2-story house is situated within an easy stroll (five minutes) to a warm and gentle Nantucket Sound beach. You can swim, play in the sand, and enjoy the view of Lewis Bay and many boats that enter Hyannis Inner Harbor every year.

While you are staying at our vacation retreat, your vacation possibilities are endless! Get out on the water in a cruise ship or sailboat; take a ferry and explore Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket; take a train that chugs through country farms and hidden fields; get a bird's-eye view from a plane or glider; or enjoy an afternoon of strolling and shopping - it's all within an easy reach. Hyannis Harbor and Marina with its ferries and cruises, Cape Cod Railroad and an airport all just a few minutes walk away. Fishing enthusiasts would love an opportunity to take one of the deep sea fishing expeditions that leave from Hyannis Harbor - this area of Nantucket Sound is known as one of the best on the East Coast for bottom fishing. There are 5 great public golf courses and several conservation areas for biking and hiking are a short drive away.

Whether you prefer spending your time relaxing outdoors, sipping a drink and enjoying a barbecue or looking for some world class dining, there is something for everyone! Our house has a fully fenced private backyard with a patio, outdoor furniture and a Kenmore gas grill. Or you can walk to Hyannis town center with its eclectic and fun collection of museums, library, carousel, art galleries, lovely boutiques, fun-packed pubs, fine restaurants, bars, nightclubs, ice cream parlors, coffeehouses and bookstores. There is always something fun to do in Hyannis! For the serious shopper on a mission, Cape Cod Mall is 2 miles away.

Come and enjoy and our tranquil and sparkling house! This is a family owned home and we would love to share our enjoyment of lovely Cape Cod with you. In the house, there is an informational binder describing our favorite activities and restaurants in the nearby area.

The house is not toddler proof, but well-behaved school age children are welcome. There's a Zooquarium, Pirates Cove mini golf course and other family amusements within a few miles.

The rental period is Saturday to Saturday during high and shoulder season, shorter rentals possible November - April. No Smoking, please.

There is a refundable security deposit of $400. A 50% deposit (1/2 of rent and security deposit) is required to hold the property. The security deposit is fully refundable in the event of cancellation. Dogs accepted with prior approval. There is an additional charge per dog of $30/day or $150/week, whichever is less. All rates quoted for up to 6 guests. Each additional guest (up to maximum of 8) is $150/week.
